The local villagers of Valbona, a small village in one of the most beautiful areas of Albania, are fighting against the government. This is because the local government illegally took land of some of the members of the Selimaj family and other villagers, land which has been in their families for hundreds of years.
Catherine Bohne, an American who lives in Valbona, took action to help these families and made this documentary about the Valbona land grab, to inform people about the situation:
Even though the people in the documentary are adults, 50% of the population of Valbona is below the age of 18. The old men you see fighting in these videos are not just protecting their own interests, they are fighting for the future of the children of Valbona.
